Scientific Scripts
I have a 1st class degree in biochemistry from the University of Nottingham, UK and a PhD from Balliol College, University of Oxford, UK. My research has primarily focussed on cardiovascular topics but I have also covered a wide range of areas within molecular and cellular biology. These include: cell signalling, adhesion and movement in blood platelets, the mechanisms of oncogenesis in lymphomas, the relationship between cancer and inflammation, the cell cycle, and the development and differentiation of both eukaryotes and prokaryotes. I have also worked in scientific administration and project management so have experience in working with official scientific documents aimed at a variety of people including policy-makers, decision-makers, the general public and academics at all stages of their career.

Throughout my scientific career I have collaborated with scientists from a breadth of institutions both in the UK and abroad. I worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Inserm Centre de Physiopathologie in Toulouse, France; it was during this time thatI became aware of the difficulties faced by non-native English-speaking scientists in communicating their work as concisely and clearly as possible to achieve the maximum impact. As a result of this I founded Scientific Scripts in January 2011 and hope to be able to improve the impact and influence of scientific studies around the globe.
